A Safeguarding Hub contains a suite of tools that help a parish to comply with the Church of England's Safer Recruitment and People Management Code of Practice.
Parishes in participating dioceses
Safeguarding Hubs are free for parishes in participating dioceses within the Church of England.
The list of participating dioceses can be found here.
Parishes in participating dioceses need simply ask their diocesan safeguarding team for an invitation.
Parishes in other dioceses
A parish in any other diocese can use a Safeguarding Hub for an Annual Fee.
The fees for 2026 are:
- £124 for a Hub with fewer than 30 people
- £248 for a Hub with 30 to 100 people
- £496 for a Hub with over 100 people
These prices include VAT.
Which people should be added to a Hub?
The Church of England's Safer Recruitment and People Management Code of Practice applies to any church role that has:
- Safeguarding responsibilities (e.g. PCC members)
- Substantial contact with children (under 18) or vulnerable adults
Anyone appointed to one of these roles should be added to the Safeguarding Hub, but a parish can choose to add other people too.
