
A Safeguarding Hub contains a suite of tools that help a parish to comply with the Church of England's Safer Recruitment and People Management Code of Practice.
Parishes in participating dioceses
Safeguarding Hubs are free for parishes in participating dioceses within the Church of England.
The list of participating dioceses can be found here.
Parishes in participating dioceses need simply ask their diocesan safeguarding team for an invitation.
Parishes in other dioceses
A parish in any other diocese can use a Safeguarding Hub for an Annual Fee.
The fees for 2026 are:
- £124 for a church with fewer than 30 applicable people
- £248 for a church with 30 to 100 applicable people
- £496 for a church with over 100 applicable people
These prices include VAT.
Who is an applicable person?
The Safer Recruitment and People Management Code of Practice applies to anyone who has:
- Safeguarding responsibilities (e.g. a PCC member)
- A church role that involves substantial contact with children (under 18) or vulnerable adults
These are the recommended applicable people, but other people can be included too.
