How does a parish move to Stage 2?

When a parish moves to Stage 2, they can use their Hub to create Role Descriptions and Person Specifications.  However, a parish can only move to Stage 2 if their diocese allows them to do so.

Changing the highest stage allowed for all parish hubs

A diocese can choose the highest stage that parish hubs are able to reach.  This can easily be changed as follows:

  1. Sign into the dashboard tools at https://tools.parishdashboards.org.uk/
  2. Select Safeguarding Hub Settings in the left-hand menu.
Please note that this is not the same as the Safeguarding Dashboard Settings.
  3. Press the Change button in the Highest Stage Allowed box.
  4. Select Stage 2 and press the Update button (see the screenshot below).

How does a parish move to Stage 2?

Once a diocese enables Stage 2 (see above), a Settings button will appear on all parish hubs.  This button allows parish to move to Stage 2 if they wish (see the screenshot below).

Can Stage 2 be enabled for just a few parish hubs?

Yes.  You can start by enabling Stage 2 for just a few parishes if you prefer.  You can do this as follows:

  1. Sign into the dashboard tools at https://tools.parishdashboards.org.uk/
  2. Select Safeguarding Hub Control Panel in the left-hand menu.
Please note that this is not the same as the Safeguarding Dashboard Control Panel.
  3. Use the Navigation button in the top-right corner to find the parish that you want to change.
  4. Press the Change button in the Hub Stage box.
  5. Select Stage 2 and press the Update button.

Please note that, using this method, the parish hub immediately changes to Stage 2.  The above mentioned Settings button does not appear on the parish hub.
